Observational Animation

Character design
Prime Research
for this i will search the internet to have a look at what other people have to offer so i can gain ideas from others in and around the animation industry.

a creature with four legs could be a possibility, also am quite keen on the neutral colors.

The spine really stands out on the picture, could look how i could include wings as well.

These caricatured goblins, dwarfs also stand out due to there exsaturated looks and expressions.

maybe making a character with a machine could be intresting, i dont want to try something to difficult though.

These are more examples of exaggerated characters, i particularly think color is important , so this will be a main focus point in my research.

i need to create decent drawings so i have clear defined ideas to work from.

Initial Designs

Work in progress

so in this presentation , it was about me getting the definition into the boday and start the sculpting process so that my character starts to form.

I was told to smooth down the chest very slightly and to just keep going and produce more of the same.

More Defined

over the next few weeks i really worked had on getting the overall shape correct and creating individual subtools for each section so it was able to get much more detail into each part.

it was important for me to try and get the detail in the robe and in particular how it hangs from the chest
